When There Isn't a Wrong Answer

Good Morning.

The hardest part of many decisions is accepting that two good options can exist at the same time.

Some decisions never produce a clear winner.

Two opportunities can both be appealing. Two paths can both lead to meaningful lives. Choosing one often means leaving behind something you genuinely wanted.

That's why certain decisions stay with us long after they're made. We aren't choosing between right and wrong. We're choosing between futures that each carry their own possibilities.

No amount of thinking can eliminate that reality. Eventually, every decision asks us to close the door on one path so we can begin walking another.

The goal isn't certainty. It's making a thoughtful choice, accepting what comes with it, and giving ourselves permission to stop wondering about the life we didn't choose.

Have a great weekend.

The Long Game
One small thing for a longer life

Did You Know

Half a tablespoon of olive oil a day is linked to a meaningfully longer life.

In a study following more than 90,000 adults for 28 years, Harvard researchers found that people who consumed more than half a tablespoon of olive oil each day had a 19% lower risk of dying from any cause than those who rarely used it. They also had lower rates of death from heart disease, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases. Replacing butter or margarine with olive oil appeared to account for much of the benefit.

Nutrition is one of the six factors that shape how well we age. The Worthyest Longevity Index measures all six in 4 minutes. Yours, personalized. Get Your Score →
